Diodes are generally used to protect circuits from over current and will often be the reason a TV or a mechanical hard drive won’t power on, sometimes they will blow to protect the circuit because something else on the board is faulty, same with replacing a fuse, why did this diode blow is a question you should ask yourself

With these Bose sub units some people have speculated it’s the vibrations from the Sub causes the Diode to fail and not actually exceeding the current they are rated for so a unit with a 3A diode a 2A one is probably a suitable replacement because I’m actually the last person in the world to learn about this when a customer called me and already knew what diode he needed because there is 4000 youtube videos about it.

So now I have the precious diode so any audio perverts out there have their sub mysteriously stops powering on. It’s highly likely you need a B2100 or similar diode which I’m happy to replace for $50 + $1 for the diode or I’ll sell you just the diode for one billion dollars. \
